Since 1975, we have offered the same goods to our customers, at a fraction of the price. We carry everything from brand named grocery items to fresh, locally grown produce.
It all started when brothers Lewis Safran and Stanley Safran, along with Stanley’s son, Lewis, bought the store. Over the course of the years Lewis, Stanley’s son, became the sole proprietor of the business. During the summer of 2002, Safran’s Supermarket underwent major construction so that the store would be able to offer more conveniences to their customers.
Now we have a fully functioning staff dedicated to meet all of our customers’ individual needs. See below for more information about our positions:
Check out groceries and assist with customer needs. Operate cash register, handle cash, checks, and credit cards.
Customer Service Clerk:
Operate the lottery machine, Western Union money orders, Western Union money transfers, and other customer needs.
Slice deli meats and cheeses according to customer requests. Prepare and sell sandwiches, salads, and ready-to-serve foods.
Bake, decorate and sell our delicious bakery items.
Cut and trim meat, assist our customers in meat selection, maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
Meat Clerk & Wrapper:
Assist the butcher with customer needs and wrapping meat.
Order merchandise, move freight, cut cases, price merchandise and stock shelves.
Cut, trim and display fresh produce, assist customers in selection. Work with fresh flowers and live plants, create floral arrangements.
Work with computer sales batches and pricing merchandise.
Balance daily sales, assist customers, and oversee front end operations.
